MEET THE ARTIST

Gaby Paterno with Her Legacy Piece Permanently Displayed at the Westerly High School

Gaby is an Italian-American Multimedia Artist of Wearable and Fine Art; Custom Stationery and Creative Marketing from Hoboken, New Jersey and Westerly, Rhode Island. For as long as Gaby can remember, she has been blessed with a love and passion for all things art and fashion.

Gaby graduated from the University of Rhode Island after studying Marketing and Fine Arts. She has been the recipient of a Scholastic Silver Key Art Award and has a piece of work on permanent display at Westerly High School.

While Gaby works in a variety of mediums, right now her most loved mediums include leather/ fabric paint, watercolors, oil paint, and pen and ink; painting and drawing on every surface from canvas and paper to handbags and shoes. Her favorite pieces to create are pieces of Wearable Art specifically custom painted shoes and handbags!

Although it is somewhat of an uncommon practice for artists, Gaby is a Multimedia Artist simply because she loves to experiment and challenge herself! Working with various mediums and subjects allows her to create pieces she is always excited about!
